2019 Greene Mountain Nutrition CHallenge

MEET THE 2019 WINNER!

BRIANA BOUTIN

The 2019 Greene Mountain Nutrition Challenge winner is BRIANA BOUTIN! Briana is a badass 30-something mom of 5-year-old twin boys, Abel and Owen. She’s originally from Maryland, and now lives in Colchester. She works in dental billing at Community Health Centers in Burlington.

Briana started this challenge by saying she wanted to be part of a support team, and she wanted to lose what she calls a “mummy tummy”. She added more goals along the way, such as improving strength and flexibility through yoga.

One thing we love about Briana is that not only is she a motivator, she found plenty of others to motivate HER. Briana completed a training program with @re_fitness_official, perfected (or came close!) to many incredibly difficult yoga poses inspired by @mrs_khaleesi_gaither, and found accountability partners among her friends and fellow GMN Challengers. And oh yeah – scrolling through her Instagram feed, we can’t help but notice the majority of her workouts happened somewhere around 3:30 AM! Briana can often be found sweating Planet Fitness in Essex, where she recently realized just how strong she is – squatting 100lbs for the first time!

RUNNERS-UP:

KATIE GARDNER is a preschool teacher who lives in Essex. She’s a bikini competitor in the midst of what she calls her “improvement season.” Some of her goals for the GMN Challenge included working on her nutrition with her coach @danikarjohnson, building muscle and strength, and improving her posing. Katie is very goal-oriented and used this challenge to push herself even harder!  Katie trains at the Edge in Essex.

TABITHA TUCKER is a mom and a childcare professional from Williston. Her passion is obstacle course racing, and you’ll see her regularly training at the Edge OCR with @greenmountainmuscle. Tabby has completed a Spartan Trifecta, and has big goals to beat her 2018 times! She joined the GMN Challenge to motivate herself as if she’s training for a race. One personal goal was to deadlift her own body weight; she’s far surpassed that and is now signed up for a powerlifting competition!
